Beyond the L Test
Once you have learnt to drive, your social life and career opportunities can open up so much. Imagine going out and not having to think of the last bus or train home.
What about applying for a job where having a driving licence is a requirement, or going for a job you want, however it is further away. These are the possibilities that will be open to you.
Driving is a skill that once you have it, you can take you through to your 70th birthday and beyond. However, like any skills we learn in life, they can deteriorate. So it is advisable to have your skills re-assessed and updated as needed. Today in the 21st century, we are more aware of our effect on the environment, and the car is seen as one of the biggest threats. However, just like working in an office, manufacturing or construction, as technology changes, we tend to be sent on courses to keep up to date with these changes. Driving a vehicle is no different. If you update your knowledge adapt your driving skills to the latest methods, then not only do you reduce the risks of been involved in a collision and thereby reduce your insurance premiums, you also can reduce your effects on the environment, which in turn leads to a reduction in fuel consumption. And in these current economic times, that is a saving you can benefit from as well.
